Crypto Exponent John McAfee: “I’ve Been Poisoned”

CRYPTOCURRENCY exponent John McAfee claims he has been poisoned by enemies out to kill him.

The cybersecurity pioneer who has championed Bitcoin, ICOs and a number of alt-coins disappeared from Twitter for three days.

He resurfaced just hours ago with a post that included a photograph of him wired up to machines and connected to tubes on a hospital bed.

McAfee’s poison claim also comes just three days after The Cryptograph published an exclusive interview with him — his last public interview before his mysterious disappearance.

He claims to have spent two days unconscious in hospital because he was poisoned. He added that he survived because he is “more difficult to kill than anyone can possibly imagine.”

McAfee told The Cryptograph that “If you look at Bitcoin year by year it has continued to grow against the US dollar so who cares about temporary restrictions on the market? The dollar by then is going to be worth one fifth of what it is today.

“Keep in mind that, as crypto creeps into our consciousness our economy fiat currency will devalue to the point that it is worthless.

“I would think that would happen within five years.”

On Tuesday, McAfee wrote on Twitter that he would no longer be working with cryptocurrency ICOs or recommending them, “due to SEC threats.”

But resurfacing from his three day absence, also three days after The Cryptograph interview went public, he tweeted: “I apologise for my three day absence, but I was unconscious for two days at the Vidant Medical Centre in North Carolina and just woke up. My enemies maged [sic] to spike something that i ingested. However, I am more difficult to kill than anyone can possibly imagine. I am back.”

In a series of videos posted to YouTube last month, Mr McAfee said issues with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) had forced him to go on the run.

His involvement with a number cryptocurrency companies led to him being served with a subpoena by the SEC in 2016.

During his current hospitalisation, McAfee shared photos on Twitter, one showing him and his wife Janice giving the middle finger to the camera.

“And for those who did this – You will soon understand the true meaning of wrath,” he also tweeted.

In response to one well wisher, Mr McAfee said: “It takes more than poison, bullets or hanging to kill me. All three have been tried more than once.”

In an exclusive interview with The Cryptocurrency published on Wednesday, predicted that fiat currencies will be worthless within five years. He also while doubled down on his prediction that Bitcoin will hit $1 million by 2o2o and compared regulatory moves against to to America’s prohibition against alcohol in the 1930s.

He also revealed that he is eligible to become US President by birth and plans to run on the Libertarian ticket in 2020.

McAfee told The Cryptograph: “Actually, I was born on an army base. My father was a US soldier during the war so I am legally able to win if I want.”
